About the CCRE in Therapeutics

Background

In 2003 the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine was successful in establishing a CCRE in Therapeutics under the direction of Professors Henry Krum, John McNeil, Andrew Tonkin, Andrew Forbes, Paul Myles and Flavia Cicuttini.

The allocated five year funding from the NHMRC Centre of Clinical Research Excellence Grant finished at the end of 2007.  CCRE Therapeutics has developed into the Monash Centre of Cardiovascular Research and Education in Therapeutics, incorporating all aspects of our key research strategies.  The new Centre is led by Prof Henry Krum and A/Prof Chris Reid.

CCRE Therapeutics continues to expand with the establishment of the Caulfield Clinical Trial Centre in 2005 and the development of our Clinical Informatics and Data Management Centre located in the Department of Epidemiology & Preventive Medicine.
