Dr Mira Harrison-Woolrych
Dr Mira Harrison-Woolrych is the Head of the Intensive Medicines Monitoring Programme (IMMP) which is part of the New Zealand Pharmacovigilance Centre in Dunedin. The IMMP monitors selected medicines for safety using intensive Prescription Event Monitoring (PEM) methodology. Previously she worked at the Medicines Control Agency (now MHRA) in London, specialising in medicines used by women, particularly oral contraceptives and hormone replacement therapy. Dr Harrison-Woolrych is also a member of the Medicines Assessment Advisory Committee (MAAC) which advises on licensing of new medicines in New Zealand.
